Nobody knew it at the time, but this was the series finale. Not many shows during the 1960s had a proper final episode. "Get Smart" (the NBC 1965-1969 series, not the CBS 1969-1970 season) had a 2-part finale which would have suited it well. This story is not terribly awful, but it's not spectacular, either. In other words, had Sheldon known (I read somewhere when he was given the choice) he should have had airdates rearranged for certain episodes, as I favor "Home to Judgment" as an ideal season ender since it would keep people wanting more. "Pinwheel", at best, probably had people thinking "Well if it's on again I'll watch it but it's not stellar anymore."
