D. P. Cole's review and rating:
The first 20 minutes are actually quite good, but when we see the villain of the piece start to piddle about with his gun (as if he was Maxwell Smart on dope), complete with his girlfriend being just as ditzy right next to him, you know there's going to be problems further along the episode... Do you have trouble aiming a gun and dragging your chick along for the ride just for fun?
After this point, there are some worthy comments and dialogue, but nothing qualifies this as a genuinely good story. And the start of it had potential, so I must wonder what it could have been... As a one parter, the "cliffhanger" is most suitable provided that Katie got her painting back.
But what is known as that cliffhanger is simply horrible. I'll get more into detail for the next part, since that's a better place to put it.
I will admit that what they used as "to be continued next week..." was an original way of saying the episode will be continued...
Part I rating: 6/10
